I was scared because I didn't know what to do, what’s going to happen next and, at times, the feeling was extremely overwhelming. The color of the elephant represents colorful life after being diagnosed. Once I learn more about the condition, I know I can handle it. I can still eat a variety of colorful foods like candies, ice-cream, vegetables, fruits and other foods. The circle surrounding the color elephant represents hope and support that I got from my family, doctors and YDA. T1D children can live a colorful life just like all other children.
